Dausthaan MoneyManager: Budget & Ledger ("we", "our", or "the app") is a personal finance application developed by Dausthaan. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our Android application.
🔐 The short version: Dausthaan MoneyManager is designed to be private by default. Your financial data lives on your device. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or upload it to external servers without your explicit action.
By using Dausthaan MoneyManager, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the application.
Dausthaan MoneyManager collects minimal information required for core functionality and optional features:
If you choose to enable cloud backups, we use Google Sign-In to authenticate your account. We use the restricted drive.appdata scope to securely store your backup files in a hidden, application-specific folder within your Google Drive. We do not have access to your personal files, emails, or other Google Drive data. The authentication details (like your email and display name) are only used locally to show your connected account status.
Anonymous crash reports and basic performance data (via Firebase Crashlytics) to help us fix bugs. This does not include any personal or financial information.
If you subscribe to Dausthaan MoneyManager Pro, purchase data is processed by Google Play Billing. We receive a subscription status token only — never your full card details or payment credentials.
If you use the PC Sync feature, your transaction data may be temporarily transmitted over your local network or a secure relay to sync between devices. This data is encrypted in transit and never stored on our servers.
We are committed to your financial privacy. The following data is never collected or transmitted by Dausthaan MoneyManager:
All financial data you enter into Dausthaan MoneyManager — transactions, accounts, categories, budgets, books, and settings — is stored exclusively on your device using a local Room database (SQLite).
This means:
⚠️ Important: We recommend regularly exporting your data or enabling Google Drive Backup, as we cannot recover data lost due to uninstallation or device reset.
Dausthaan MoneyManager requests only the permissions necessary for its features:
Required for: Subscription verification via Google Play, crash reporting, optional PC Sync, and communicating with Google Drive for backups. Not used to transmit your financial data to our servers.
Required for: Sending optional budget alerts and reminders. Notification permission is requested at runtime and can be revoked at any time from Android Settings.
Required for: Checking connectivity before attempting PC Sync or Google Drive backup operations. No data is read from this permission.
Required for: Processing in-app purchases and subscriptions via Google Play Billing. All payment processing is handled entirely by Google.
Dausthaan MoneyManager integrates the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

Dausthaan MoneyManager is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, please contact us immediately at the address below and we will take steps to remove such information.
We take data security seriously and implement the following safeguards:
While we implement strong security practices, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We encourage you to protect your device with a screen lock.
Since Dausthaan MoneyManager stores data locally on your device, you have full control:
Uninstall the app or clear app data from Android Settings > Apps > Dausthaan MoneyManager > Clear Data. All records are permanently deleted. Backups stored in Google Drive can be deleted via the Google Drive settings.
Use the in-app export feature to backup your data locally or push a backup to your Google Drive at any time.
Any permission (Notifications, Internet usage) can be managed from Android Settings > Apps > Dausthaan MoneyManager > Permissions. Google Drive access can be revoked from your Google Account security settings.
Manage or cancel your Dausthaan MoneyManager Pro subscription at any time via Google Play > Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally to reflect changes in the app or legal requirements. When we make significant changes, we will:
